USO and Kroger Work Together to Show Support
On Saturday 30 June, Kroger partnered with the USO to give customers a chance to support deploying soldiers. Customers donated individual items including salty snacks, a sweet snack, and gum or mints. They also had the opportunity to write messages of support on the treat bags for the military service members.
Kroger is collecting funds for the USO now through August 18th via coin boxes located at each check lane in all area Kroger stores. The company has also made a $1 million contribution to the USO through its Honoring Our Heroes program.
“This is an impactful opportunity for our supportive and patriotic public to thank our military for their service,” said Kari Moore, Center Director of USO Fort Campbell and USO Nashville. “We are so grateful for the on-going support of Kroger who is our largest cumulative donor in the USO’s history.”
