Houchens Food Group Raises $9,000 for USO Canine Program
In honor of Military Appreciation Month, May, Houchens Food Group launched a round-up campaign in support of the USO Canine Program, and thanks to the generosity of their customers, they raised an incredible $9,000!
Across 150 participating stores—including IGAs, Priceless Foods, Crossroads IGA, SAVE A LOTS, and Tobacco Shops—shoppers had the opportunity to round up their purchases to support the USO’s efforts. This campaign not only raised funds but also awareness for the vital connection between service members and their canine companions.
The USO Canine Program recognizes and celebrates the powerful bond between humans and dogs. Whether it’s through therapy dogs, family pets, or military working dog programs, these canine companions provide meaningful emotional, mental, and physical support to help strengthen military families and communities.
We are incredibly grateful to Houchens Food Group and all their customers for standing behind this mission—one tail wag at a time.
